1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Citio ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Citio is a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform that provides:

  • AI visibility monitoring across multiple platforms
  • Brand mention tracking and analysis
  • Citation analysis and reporting
  • Content generation and optimization tools
  • WordPress integration for content publishing

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users. At the end of the trial, you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis
  • Payment is processed through Stripe
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
  • Prices are subject to change with notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

Refunds

We generally do not provide refunds. Exceptions may be made at our discretion for extenuating circumstances.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service.

Generated Content

Articles and content generated through our AI tools are provided as a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of any generated content before publishing.

Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Citio and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • AI platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) for monitoring
  • WordPress for content publishing
  • Stripe for payment processing

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third parties.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE

AI visibility data is provided for informational purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI platform responses or that optimizations will achieve specific results.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Citio SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Citio and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Content you publish through the Service

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
  • We may delete your data after a reasonable period
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
